History

During the 19th century, a Swiss master craftsman of metal files came to Sens to join Mr. RAMEAU, a master toolmaker. He wanted his help in manufacturing sharpening steels.
He was called FISCHER and his name gave birth to the brand name.
The technology and know-how to manufacture files is fairly close to that of sharpening steels.
This technology is still used today for the professional range.

In 1978, Mr and Mrs RAYNAUD became the new owners and several years later they moved into modern premises at Thiers, to be closer the cutlery region.

		However, it soon became necessary to diversify and increase our product range. The purchase of CASTET, specialists in equipment supplies for food, was an important development for the company. Today, this process of modernisation and our organisational talents insure a reliable service for our clientele.
